4D56 DIESEL ENGINE

Triton VGT is created with the most powerful engine in Malaysia. It has highly efficient 2500cc Mitsubishi diesel engine that meets all your customer's needs.

•  2nd generation common rail with direct injection
• Variable Geometry Turbo (VGT) charger with intercooler
• Balancer shaft

With the above technical enhancement you will experience superb engine output, excellent fuel economy and improved noise, vibration & harshness (NVH performance)

The enhanced engine management system produces higher torque from the power band of 1,800 - 3,500 rpm which makes the engine to be much more efficient. The working of a Variable Geometry Turbo (VGT) Charger Engine works by opening between nozzles in the turbo charger vary according to engine RPM allowing optimum air intake into the engine cylinder during intake stroke. Thus the advantages are:

1. improved torque output at lower engine speed
2. excellent fuel consumption
3. responsive engine performance (less turbo lag)
4. reduced CO2 commission

Triton VGT 2.5L travels at 14.4km/l the most excellent fuel economy among other pickups. This is based on constant 90km/h speed.

Triton VGT is equipped with Sports Mode transmission that provides the feel of manual shifting and sporty driving experience while offering the convinience of automatic.


The new 5-speed transmission provides superior performance and at the same time better fuel performance and at the same time better fuel economy compared with other makes.

HYBRID LSD

The hybrid-type LSD gives excellent off-road response combining the torque-sensing benefit of helical gears and a speed-sensing of a viscous coupling unit, all designed to work together with ABS. The Limited-Slip Differential (LSD) uses an internal clutch escape mechanism to prevent torque loss if one wheel starts spinning.
